We are Cubs of Character!!! - October is Friendliness Month. The focus of our friendliness character trait will center on the affirmation: We support and respect each other, especially when our friends are in need. This month, we will be emphasizing friendly behaviors as we engage in NJ Week of Respect I and School Violence Awareness Week. Please continue to discuss acts of good character with your child as he/she earns your permission to shade in pieces from his/her bucket filler puzzle. Governor’s Educator of the Year Nomination Process - Readington Township School District participates in the New Jersey Department of Education Governor's Educator of the Year Program each year. This program recognizes excellence in education, a direct result of the hard work of our outstanding classroom teachers and educational services professionals. One of the most meaningful gestures to show appreciation to our educators would be to nominate them for the Governor's Educator of the Year recognition. To make a nomination, please complete the nomination form and return it to your building principal by November 1, 2024. For more information, please click here.

YOU can help us reach our goal! For just $25, your family can join the HSA!! There are some great classroom and/or grade level prizes up for grabs!! Who will make the podium at each school???? Winning classrooms / grades will be announced the first week of November!
NEX LEVEL - NOV 16th, KIDS NIGHT OUT - We are excited to partner with Nex Level Ninja for another Kids Night Out event!! For $25 per child, Nex Level Ninja will provide a fun filled evening for all the attendees. They will provide the following:
*Staffing for all activities
*Ninja course and Basketball Courts for Basketball and Games (gaga, blowups etc.)
*Ninja games and challenges
*Pizza and drinks

Holiday Cookie Exchange - Save the date- November 20. Join us for a traditional holiday cookie exchange and HSA parent social. Gather your best holiday cookie recipes, mix up some cookies, bake them up and get ready to mix, mingle and brainstorm ideas for HSA spring events. Come with at-least 4 dozen cookies (preferably baked but store bought is ok too). We will be encouraging new friendships and new ideas among good company while discussing ideas and gathering helpers for our Spring Social and the Elementary School Field Days.

Spring Social Coming Soon! - Planning is underway for this year’s Spring Social which is the District’s largest event of the year. In the past we’ve done a tricky tray, an evening at a local winery, and a purse bingo. This year we have something very new and exciting on the calendar for March 2025 and we need your help to make it come to light! Trunk or Treat - Thank you so much to everyone that joined us on Friday night for the annual WHS Trunk or Treat! It was a great night filled with spooky fun! A HUGE thank you to all our volunteers for going the extra mile and decorating the best group of trunks we have ever had!! Congratulations to our winners - the Indiana Jones trunk, the Under the Sea trunk, the Beetlejuice trunk and the Creepy Carnival trunk!
And shoutout to all the amazing pumpkins decorated by our classrooms and congratulations to our winners - 1st Place Mrs. Yukniewicz Bluey Pumpkin, 2nd Place Mrs. Gallagher Pigeon Pumpkin, and 3rd Place Mrs. Urbanowicz Little Miss Hug Pumpkin!

Please use the Genesis Parent Portal to schedule your conference. The window for scheduling your conference will open on Monday, October 14 at 9:00am, and close on Monday, October 28 at 2:00pm. Please follow the instructions below to sign up for an available time slot:

- Change the “Week of” to the week in November that corresponds with conferences (using drop down arrow)

Our event will be held on Friday, October 25th from 5:30-7:30 pm (sensory friendly from 5:30-6:00) and is open to all Whitehouse School students’ siblings. We will also have a photo booth, animal meet and greet with the NJ Snake Man, fresh popcorn, crafts, and prizes for the winning trunks. And just added, a DJ Dance Party sponsored by Loew & Patel Orthodontics!!
Registration for volunteers and registration are now open—this is a really fun night, and we hope you’ll join us!

Memory Book Cover Contest - Get creative! This year’s theme is “Our Future is Bright.” Submit your artwork by October 21st to the office in an envelope labeled "Memory Book Art Contest." Don’t forget to write your name on the back! Teachers will vote on submissions, and the winning design will grace the front cover, with the second-place design on the back cover. Memory Book Cover Contest - Get creative! This year’s theme is “Our Future is Bright.” Submit your artwork by October 21st to the office in an envelope labeled "Memory Book Art Contest." Don’t forget to write your name on the back! Teachers will vote on submissions, and the winning design will grace the front cover, with the second-place design on the back cover. This program recognizes excellence in education, a direct result of the hard work of our outstanding classroom teachers and educational services professionals. One of the most meaningful gestures to show appreciation to our educators would be to nominate them for the Governor's Educator of the Year recognition. Substitute Job Fair October 22 - The Readington Township School District is hosting a substitute job fair on Tuesday, October 22. If you are interested in becoming a substitute, please join us. School Bus Drivers & Preschool Bus Aides Wanted - The district is currently seeking school bus drivers and preschool bus aides. School bus drivers are eligible for health and dental benefits, a pension or 403b with match, and the district has a CDL training program for those without licenses. Pay is up to $33/hour. Preschool bus aides can earn a stipend up to $4,525 for 1 hour of work per day for the school year. Interested persons can apply online or contact Jason M.
