• Returning to school after an illness...

As per district health policies, students who are ill should not attend school or school-sponsored activities that occur after normal school hours (clubs, sports, dances, etc.).
Students who experience a temperature > or equal to 100 degrees, vomiting or diarrhea may not return to school until the illness completely runs its course and the student has remained free of vomiting, diarrhea and/or fever for a minimum of 24 hours.
For fevers, students may not have taken a fever-reducing medication such as Tylenol or Advil in the 24 hour period prior to the student's return.
Some other illnesses that require students to stay out of school include conjunctivitis (pink eye) and strep throat. Students with these conditions need a note from their physician and must take any prescribed antibiotics for at least 24 hours prior to returning to school.
Report student absences and symptoms to the Attendance Line.
