Dr. Kristen Higgins, School Principal
Dear Three Bridges Community,
Welcome to the 2021 - 2022 school year! I am excited to continue my career at Three Bridges School where I have served as principal since the 2005-2006 school year. I know from my experience at Three Bridges that we are a special community. The families, students, and staff come together to support each other. Together, we are strong and can help every child succeed.
Over the years, we have developed a strong sense of community through our studies and actions. Each month, the school participates in philanthropic activities that teach our young students that they can make a difference and help others. Further, we have earned honors for our efforts in educating our students in sustainability and green actions. We were recognized as a National Green Ribbon School, earned Watershed Level Certification with Raritan Headwaters, and Green Flag status from Eco-Schools. TBS has also been certified by Sustainable Jersey for Schools with the highest honors in our initial and in our recertification applications.
We have also developed a strong SEL program. The staff, parents, and students are working closely together to help the students infuse the CASEL Social and Emotional Learning Competencies.
Our school community has come together to write a school-based SEL mission statement so we are certain to match our actions with our beliefs about developing self-aware, confident students who can make a difference in their world.
Our Mission Statement:
The Mission of Three Bridges School is to provide a caring, nurturing community where all the students feel secure and accepted.
