Andrew Levendis was Readington Middle School's first Athletic Director when the middle school opened in 1961. As Readington's first Athletic Director he initiated the sports program that we have today.  Mr. Levendis retired in 1984 after many years of dedicated service to the Readington Community.

As a tribute to Mr. Levendis the Levendis award was created. This award is given to (2) exceptional athletes on each team that demonstrate: leadership, sportsmanship, hustle, commitment, spirit, positive attitude, and displays the most service to the sport. This high honor encompasses all of the attributes that Mr. Levendis stood for and demanded from his athletes. The award winners from 1998 until now are listed by season and sport on the left.
