Difference Makers Club

  • The focus of the club is to create a safe space for any student who would like to discuss topics that can be difficult. This topic range from but aren’t limited to::  LGBTQ+, Racism, Discrimination, or other social issues that arise.  Activities will include creating awareness videos, writing and poetry pieces, bulletin board displays, messages of kindness, encouragement, and inclusivity, and research on topics that are in the forefront of our society and world at large.  Each month we will focus on a specific topic to be discussed and explored:

    September:  Suicide Prevention Month

    October:  Bullying Prevention

    November:  World Kindness

    December:  Human Rights Awareness

    January:  World Religion and Cultural Diversity

    February:  Black History Month

    March: Women’s History Month

    April:  Learning Differences/Autism Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention

    May:  Mental Health Awareness

    June:  PRIDE  LGBTQ+
