    Dr. Jonathan Moss
    Holland Brook School Principal
    2024-2025 School Year

     Dr. Jonathan Moss

    Dear Readington School Community,

I am thrilled to announce that the Board of Education has approved the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Moss as the new principal of Holland Brook School effective July 1, 2024.  Dr. Moss will succeed the current principal, Mr. Paul Nigro, who will be retiring this summer.

The district sent a survey back in November asking for community input regarding the new principal based on qualities of highly effective principals.  Our community was looking for a principal to be communicative, approachable, and focused on academic achievement as well as school climate.  Our search process looked for these characteristics in the next principal as we conducted interviews and engaged the candidates in formal presentations.  Dr. Moss certainly embodies all of these qualities and more!

Dr. Moss brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student-centered leadership.  He comes to the district having served as the RMS Vice Principal for the past 9 years.  Before that he was a Health and PE Teacher at Hunterdon Central.  Throughout the exhaustive search process, he demonstrated a clear focus on student well-being and academic achievement, aligning perfectly with our school's values and goals. As the district continues to prioritize the holistic development of our students, I am confident that Dr. Moss will lead with integrity, compassion, and dedication. He is not only passionate about academic excellence but also about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Moss to our HBS school community. He will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of our students, staff, and families.

    Jonathan Hart, Ph.D.
    Superintendent of Schools
