Meet the Board of Education

  • The Readington Township Board of  Education welcomes your correspondence to the email address listed below. Any email correspondence written to Board members directly at this email address may be reported out in public session.  If you have a specific request, comment or concern, please feel free to email the appropriate department administrator for assistance. Contact information can be found under the "Our District" tab on the website.
    To email the board: 
    Per Bylaw 0164.6, public comments can be submitted before remote public meetings through electronic mail or by written letter.  Please email the Board Secretary at by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the board meeting.  Comments shall be read aloud and addressed during the remote public meeting.
    If you are interested in becoming a Board member, please refer to this link in addition to this pdf. The deadline to submit paperwork to the County Office to appear on the election ballot is typically the last Monday in July before 4:00 p.m. Questions?     Jodi Bettermann
    Term Ends: January 2024
    Chair of Policy/Communications Committee.  Member of Green Committee.  Garden State Coalition of Schools Trustee.
    Jodi has been involved with Readington Schools for 15 years as a parent, volunteer, and employee.  Jodi has held many leadership positions in the Readington Home School Association and is the current President of the H.S.A.  She served as the district's Energy Efficiency Coordinator until March 2020 helping the district to conserve energy in its facilities.  After working for the district, Jodi worked for goHunterdon as Environmental Education Coordinator for Hunterdon County and is currently working for Sustainable Jersey in the Energy group.
    Jodi holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and moved to the area over 20 years ago while working for Merck & Co.  She feels strongly about using her skills to give back to the community and volunteers as a member of the Readington Board of Health in addition to serving on the Board of the H.S.A. and the Board of the Hunterdon Central Band Parents Association.
    Jodi and her husband have four children who attended Readington Schools with the youngest currently attending Readington Middle School.  You can often find Jodi supporting her children in their activities including Hunterdon Central soccer and marching band as well as Readington Middle School music ensembles. Jodi and her family enjoy spending time together playing board games, cooking, reading, playing music, and spending time outdoors.
    Dr. Camille Cerciello
    Term ends: January 2025

    Board Vice-President. Chair of Finance & Facilities Committee. Member of Personnel Committee. Hunterdon County ESC Representative.

    Camille has worked in the field of education for over 30 years.  She is the Director of two state-approved schools for classified students.  Camille is responsible for all financial, educational and staffing decisions.  She received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University followed by a Masters degree in Educational Administration.  Camille earned her doctorate in Educational Administration from Seton Hall University. 

    She has lived in Readington Township for 18 years with her partner and son who currently attends Readington Middle School.

    Elizabeth Fiore

    Chair of Education/Technology Committee. Member of Policy/Communications Committee, and Green Committee. NJ School Boards Association Delegate.

    Elizabeth's professional experience is in non-profit fundraising and grant administration. Since moving to Readington in 2014, she has been an active community volunteer. She currently serves as Vice President of the Readington H.S.A. and coaches for Girls on the Run. She previously served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, Co-President of the MOMS Club of Three Bridges, Chairwoman of the H.S.A. Fine and Performing Arts Committee, and ran in 2018 for a seat on Township Committee.

    Elizabeth graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Geography. Born in New Jersey, she moved after college to Cincinnati, OH, and then to Canton, MA, a suburb of Boston.

    Elizabeth and her husband have three children who attend Readington Township Schools. She and her family enjoy running, hiking, cycling, cooking, reading, sewing, gardening, and making music together no matter how terrible it sounds.

     Carol Hample

    Board President. Chair of Negotiations Committee. Member of Personnel Committee, and Finance & Facilities Committee.   

    Carol Hample’s background is in Business, focusing on Project Management and Efficiency.  Carol previously served as a volunteer for the Readington Home and School Association (HSA) for 8 years.  She also volunteers as the Track Operator for Hunterdon County BMX located in Flemington. 

    Carol and her husband have three sons who attend school in Readington. 

    Randall Peach

    Member of Education/Technology Committee, Finance & Facilities Committee, and Negotiations Committee. 

    Mr. Peach has a J.D. degree from Seton Hall School of Law, and has practiced law for 28 years, in the fields of employment, divorce and family law, and education law.  He is a partner with the law firm of Woolson Anderson Peach, P.C. in Somerville.

    Mr. Peach and his wife have two daughters, who are currently enrolled in Readington Middle School.

    Chair of Personnel Committee. Member of Education/Technology Committee, District Technology Committee, and Negotiations Committee. 

    Carolyn is retired from an IT career at Merck and AT&T.  She holds a BS in Computer Science from Union College and a MS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers.  In her retirement, Carolyn volunteers with the Flemington Food Pantry as database administrator, programmer, and webmaster.

    Carolyn and her husband were happily involved in the Readington schools and community sports teams while her, now grown, children were younger.

     Thomas Wallace

    Member of Education/Technology Committee, and Finance & Facilities Committee.  
    Mr. Wallace recently retired from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office after 26 years in public service, the final 13 as a K9 handler of a human scent tracking Bloodhound. He has served his community as a volunteer firefighter/EMT, recreational soccer coach, and catechism teacher.
    Mr. Wallace and his wife have two children, one currently enrolled in the Readington Township school district and one at Hunterdon Central Regional High School.
    Jennifer Wolf
    Term ends:  January 2025
    Member of Personnel Committee, Policy/Communications Committee, and District Technology Committee. Home School Association Representative.
    Jennifer is a Sr. Director of Human Resources with experience in career development, university relations, managing internship programs, actively listening, negotiating, and learning to understand various opposing viewpoints to drive consensus.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leadership & Consumer Economics with a minor in Psychology from the University of Delaware.  She holds her MBA with a concentration in Management from Centenary College and PHR Certification. 


    She has served as a volunteer for the Readington HSA and Girl Scouts.  Jennifer and her husband have two young children and have resided within the district for 10 years. 

    Eric Zwerling
    Term ends:  January 2023 
    Chair of the Green Committee and a member of the Policy/Communications Committee.

    Mr. Zwerling is the Director of the Rutgers Noise Technical Assistance Center and President of The Noise Consultancy, LLC. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Microbiology and is ABD for a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences. He has served on the Board since 2010 and has won environmental awards for his work in that position.
    Eric has been actively engaged as a teacher for over 30 years, with undergraduate and professional certification courses in New Jersey, across the country, and internationally.
    The Readington Township Public Schools laid the educational foundations that enabled his children to flourish at Central, then college, and onto successful careers. Eric and his wife currently share their home with two wonderful Labradors, who probably won't leave for college and careers.
