    New Procedures for Quarantine/Positive Students - Starting Monday, January 31, the teachers will no longer have their cameras on for hybrid instruction.  If your child is identified as a close contact or tests positive for Covid, he/she will receive an email containing detailed information about their schedule and the quarantine links.  Thank you for your cooperation through this challenging time.

    Schedule Reminder - Monday, January 31 is the end of Marking Period 2, as well as the end of Semester 1.  On Tuesday, February 1, Semester 2 will begin, and students will have new encore classes to attend.  Please be sure students review their Semester 2 schedule so they are aware which new classes to attend on Tuesday, February 1. 

    Student COVID Reporting Form - Our School Nurses will be collecting COVID positive information from parents.  If you need to contact the school to report a positive COVID case for your child, please fill out the Student COVID Reporting Form.  This will assist us in gathering information and contact tracing.

    Attention 8th Grade Parents:  High School Scheduling - Scheduling window will be open from February 16th through February 20th.  During the scheduling window, students will need to request their Electives, Alternative Electives, World Language (if they are switching from current World Language), and Athletics.  Students will receive their Login Information via mail from Hunterdon Central.  The username and password are for all 4 years of high school.  We DO NOT have copies of this information, so please keep it secure.  *If your child is NOT attending Hunterdon Central they are still required to schedule!  Please click here to review Mrs. Moffat's letter dated January 19.

    8th Grade Parents/Guardians:  Cap and Gown information - Please complete the Graduation Gown & Diploma information that was emailed to you earlier this month.

    "Soup"-er Bowl Food Drive - This year's "Soup"-er Bowl food drive will be held from Monday January 31st through Friday, February 11th. All donations can be dropped off at the front entrance of the school in the labeled bin. All items that are collected from the food drive will be donated to the Flemington Food Pantry.  Click here for the flyer.

    Maschio's Food Service AnnouncementThe Readington Township Board of Education is very appreciative of RMS’s cafeteria manager Dori Taylor and her staff for all their hard work and dedication to providing healthy and nutritious meals to our students. Maschio’s is pleased to announce that they will be offering Jersey Fresh produce as RMS. This month’s offerings, which will be featured on the school’s menu starting January 27th, will include apple varieties that include Fuji, Ambrosia, and Suncrisp from Phillips Farm in Milford, and sweet potatoes from Landisville Cooperative in Vineland, NJ.  Maschio’s has immediate openings for food service staff.     Kindergarten Pre-Registration – Thursday, February 24 and Friday, February 25 - The Readington Township School District is currently conducting Full-Day Kindergarten and First Grade pre-registration for the 2022-2023 school year.  If your child will be attending kindergarten or entering first grade from a private kindergarten in fall 2022, please call either Three Bridges School at 908-782-2141 or Whitehouse School at 908-534-4411 to pre-register.  To access the pre-registration form, please click here.  Please pre-register and attend the in-person registration days at either Three Bridges School or Whitehouse School on Thursday, February 24, 2022 and Friday, February 25, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  For more information, please click here

    Prevention Resources Video - The Readington Township School District is fortunate to have partnered with Hunterdon Prevention Resources to provide parents with public service announcements about topics related to drugs and alcohol in our county.  They are preparing short videos to educate parents on these timely issues.     Idling of Vehicles During Winter Months - With the winter months fast approaching and temperatures dropping, this is a friendly reminder to please not idle your vehicle. District policy 7471 states that "unnecessary vehicle idling increases pollution which contributes to adverse effects on the environment and the health of individuals". It is the district's goal to keep students and staff healthy, as well as be mindful of sustainability, so we sincerely appreciate your cooperation.
     
    Spring 2022 Sports Forms - The deadline for registering for Spring Sports 2022 is Wednesday, March 9th! Spring sports are baseball, lacrosse, softball, and track. Please visit the nurse's page to access the forms required. The first day for tryouts is Tuesday, March 22nd!

    YMCA Aftercare for Sports and Clubs  - The Readington Township School District is unable to accommodate a late bus for students who stay after school for clubs and sports. However, the YMCA offers aftercare for students until 6:00 P.M. The aftercare program for both RMS and HBS occurs in the HBS cafeteria. Parents may wish to enroll their child(ren) in the YMCA program during a sports season or club offering for regular, after school child care coverage. Membership and monthly fees may apply. Further, and separately, the YMCA is accommodating emergency/unexpected drop-ins from students attending clubs and/or sports. The attached letter contains further information on the distinction between these two options, and the requirement for each parent to complete a drop-in form in case an emergency circumstance arises.

You should not be backing up to "get out".  Students are getting in and out of cars, and we do not want them to be struck by a vehicle.  Thank you for your cooperation.

    Reporting an Absence - We have added a new button to our RMS website called "Report an Absence".  Please take some time to click on the Report an Absence Button and review the information.  We have added a new feature that will allow you to email us regarding your child's absence and also explain what information is needed in regards to reporting your child absent.  We hope you find this information helpful.

    Impending Weather – As you may be aware, there is the potential for inclement weather on Friday, January 7.  Due to the impending weather, there is a possibility of a delayed opening or school closing.  Should the weather forecast impact school on Friday, parents will receive notification via the school messenger system.  Please verify the emergency contact information listed for your children is accurate and up-to-date.  Please note if a school closing is necessary, this will not be a virtual day.  There are two snow days built into the school calendar.

    Board Member Vacancy / Seeking Interested Candidates - At its December 14th board meeting, the Board of Education accepted a resignation of a Board Member creating a vacancy for the 2022 calendar year. The Board of Education is seeking a township resident to fill a one-year seat. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest and resume to Jason M.     Readington Jr Baseball League (RTJBL) - Registration for the 2022 Spring Readington Tewksbury Jr. Baseball League (RTJBL) is OPEN to all children ages 4-18.
