Take Your Child to Work Day Information - The Readington Township Public Schools is excited to participate in “Take your Child to Work Day” 2022.  The day is Thursday, April 28, 2022.  This day exposes children to the various roles parents hold when they go to work each day.  Our participation in this special day means two things.  First, parents of children in the district may take children to their work on April 28 and this is counted as an excused absence.  We welcome children to use the day to explore careers outside of schools.  Similarly, school district employees are welcome to bring children to our school buildings for the day to explore the various roles in education.  There is no requirement that students visiting parents or employees’ children attending our schools complete an assignment related to this special day.

Please keep in mind that Department of Health (DOH) protocols for COVID-19 will be followed by the school district.  Any child of a school employee who attends “Take your Child to Work Day” may be subject to contact tracing.  Employees should consider this before inviting children into work.  Of course, protocols may change between now and the end of the month.  If so, please look for updates from my office.

Finally, we hope parents take advantage of this opportunity to allow children to explore various careers.  After all, this offers us an opportunity to show our children how we live our mission by allowing them to cultivate a spirit of discovery and embrace connections in our diverse, global world.
