    Aladdin Jr. Opens This Week - The RMS Drama Club will be performing this year's musical selection, Aladdin Jr., on Thursday, March 24 and Friday, March 25.  Please come out to support the Drama Club and enjoy an evening of music for the entire family.  The performances will take place at 7pm in the RMS Cafetorium and tickets are $5 each at the door.

    Gifted and Talented Nominations - The Readington Township School District is currently accepting parent nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program for students in 1st-7th grade.  All parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 25th.  Since the assessment process will begin immediately following the nomination deadline, late entries cannot be accepted.     Spring Sports - Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, March 22nd @ 2:35 pm. Please bring all your gear and a water bottle to school with you in the morning. Athletic equipment can be dropped off at the following location each morning before homeroom:

    Girls in Engineering and Technology (GET) - GET is a 4-week virtual program (3/22 - 4/12) hosted by Hunterdon Central's Science National Honor Society. Students will meet every Tuesday for a 1-hour session over Zoom to learn about basic engineering concepts, learn basic computer programming, work with high school mentors on research projects, and gain a better understanding of what a future career in STEM may look like. Students will be routinely engaged in virtual lessons/lectures, interactive activities, and guest talks. Click here to learn more and register.

    Mashcio's New Item Information - Maschio's is excited to introduce a weekly Yogurt Bar at RMS!  Every Thursday, students and staff can expect to see a Yogurt Bar at lunchtime. The Yogurt Bar will feature a choice of 2 yogurts with a variety of fresh fruits, berries, granola, and honey pieces.

    Spring Conferences - Conferences will be offered on the afternoons of Thursday, March 10, Friday, March 11, and the evening of Thursday, March 10.  Conference times are set to accommodate as many parents as possible.  Scheduling will be open through Genesis February 28 at 3 PM and remain open until Tuesday, March 8 at 9 AM.  There are limited time slots available, so if your child is doing well, or if you have already conferenced with the teachers, please be considerate of parents who may need a conference.  You will have the option to choose a virtual or an in-person conference.  If you select “virtual”, the teacher will set up a link for your virtual meeting.     Spring 2022 Sports Forms - The deadline for registering for Spring Sports is Wednesday, March 9th.  Spring sports are baseball, lacrosse, softball, and track. Please visit the nurse's page to access the forms that are required. The first day for tryouts is Tuesday, March 22nd.

    YMCA Aftercare for Sports and Clubs  - The Readington Township School District is unable to accommodate a late bus for students who stay after school for clubs and sports. However, the YMCA offers aftercare for students until 6:00 P.M. The aftercare program for both RMS and HBS occurs in the HBS cafeteria. Parents may wish to enroll their child(ren) in the YMCA program during a sports season or club offering for regular, after-school child care coverage. Membership and monthly fees may apply. Further, and separately, the YMCA is accommodating emergency/unexpected drop-ins from students attending clubs and/or sports. The attached letter contains further information on the distinction between these two options, and the requirement for each parent to complete a drop-in form in case an emergency circumstance arises.
