    Shannon Daley Basketball Game - Please join the Shannon Daley Memorial Fund for their 19th Annual Charity Basketball Event/The Readington Teachers and Readington Men’s All-Star Team vs. Harlem Wizards on Tuesday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. / Hunterdon Central Regional HS Fieldhouse.  The Shannon Daley Memorial Fund mission is to assist local families facing financial hardship due to a child battling a serious illness.  For more information, click here. Please see Mrs. Bennington or Mr. Kober to purchase your tickets. 

    Readington Preschool Program Registration – NOW OPEN - The 2020-2021 Integrated Preschool Program is now open for registration.  Your child must be 4 years old by October 1, 2020.  The deadline for all applications is March 27, 2020.  All applicants will be notified by email on or about March 31, 2020, regarding their admission.  For an application, please click here. For more information, please click here.

    An Emotional Wellness and Music Event - An Emotional and Wellness and Music Event featuring performances, exercise, and an emotional wellness fair is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 (1:00 – 4:00 p.m.) at Hunterdon Central Regional High School.  For more information, click here.

    Home Language Night - HCRHS will be celebrating World Language Night on Wednesday, March 4th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Join Hunterdon Central for a night of games, activities, and a celebration of language during World Langauge Week. For more information, please click here.

    American Heart ChallengeJump Rope & Hoops For Heart is here!  We are proud to partner with the American Heart Association in fighting heart disease and stroke.  During this program, your child will learn about their heart, ways to develop healthy habits and have the opportunity to participate in jump rope & hoops for heart. The event will take place on March 19th and March 20th! If you haven’t already, please register for our school team by clicking here!  It’s not too late to contribute to our school’s efforts to fight the No. 1 killer of Americans: heart disease.   Our students are working hard on their jump rope and basketball skills and we are so proud of them for taking the challenge and helping others by raising money for the American Heart Association.  Thank you for your support!  

    IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS - Students who sign in to homework room and plan to attend sporting events at 4pm, need to be signed out by a parent/guardian and escorted there.  No students are permitted to be on school grounds after school hours without parent/guardian supervision.
     
    Attention All 6th Grade Students - 2020 6th Grade Read-a thon - 6th grade students come and read to save shelter animals and celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday!  The 6th grade students of RMS are invited to participate in a Read-a-thon to raise money for our local animal shelter, St. Hubert’s Animal Shelter, in North Branch.  The event will be on Friday, March 13th from 2:30 to 6:00 PM in the RMS library.  We are asking students to gather pledges/donations. Join us for an hour or the entire event, there is no time commitment.     Safe Coalition – Safe Communities Coalition of Hunterdon/Somerset has officially launched the Fentanyl Factor documentary on their website.  The documentary is intended to educate the community about the role of Fentanyl in the Opioid Crisis and features local stories of those affected by the epidemic.  To view the documentary, please click here.

    Spring Book Fair - The HSA Scholastic book fair is coming to RMS next month. We encourage families to please volunteer to help at the fair itself and/or at setup and break down of the fair. Setup will be on Friday, March 20 at dismissal. The fair itself runs Monday - Friday (March 23-27) during school hours. Finally, breakdown occurs at dismissal Friday. Please contact book fair chairperson, Tanya Bowser ( tanya.bowser@gmail.com) with your availability to volunteer or to find out when your student(s) will be attending with their Language Arts class.

    Box Tops - This is an ongoing program. Don’t forget to turn in your Box Tops into the collection bins located at main entrance and the side entrance to the school.

Codes are also found printed inside cardboard multi-packs of Coke products. Turn your caps and codes into school in the same collection boxes as the Box Tops. The codes are worth points that will be converted into dollars for our school.

    Attention All 8th Grade Parents - Hunterdon Central News -  Aspen opens Friday, February 21st at 8:00 am and closes on Tuesday, February 25th at 11:59 pm.  The individual Aspen login credential letters were mailed home directly from Hunterdon Central High School to all RMS 8th grade students.  

    If your child's letter with the Aspen login credentials was lost or misplaced it is necessary for the parent/guardian to call (908) 284-7284 during school hours, or email: helpdesk@hcrhs.org for their credentials to be re-issued prior to the closing date of February 25, 2020.
     
    It is also important to insure that you have the HCRHS Freshman Course Recommendation/Selection - Class of 2024 Form, completed by your child's 8th grade teachers and mailed home in early January.  The updated Freshman electives can be found on Mrs. Goodfellow's website under the tab, "Hunterdon Central."  Access Mrs. Goodfellow's website here - https://sites.google.com/readington.k12.nj.us/rms-school-counseling/rms-counselors/mrs-goodfellow-class-of-2020
     
    If you are unable to locate your child's HCRHS Freshman Course Recommendation/Selection Form, please have him or her stop in the Guidance Office to request a copy of the completed form.
     
    Students will be given the opportunity to schedule their classes during first period on Friday, February 21, if they would like to.  Students need to remember to have their log-ins available at that time.
     
    Lastly, please remember to sign up for the Class of 2020 Remind app.  The link is located on Mrs. Goodfellow's website.  The Remind app will be used as an integral method of sharing important information to the Class of 2020.

    Attention 8th Grade Parents - HCRHS Reminders  The course recommendations forms for Hunterdon Central were mailed home to all current 8th Grade students.  Grade 8 access to the Hunterdon Central's Student Information System (ASPEN) begins at 8:00 am on February 21st and closes at midnight on February 25th.  Upon completion of your child's 2020-2021 course selection, please return the pink copy of the course selection form to the Guidance Office.

    8th Grade Parents – Do you have questions about Hunterdon Central?  Want to hear what other Readington parents have to say?  Then plan to attend a Parent to Parent Discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 in the RMS Media Center.  A panel of Readington parents with students at Central will help answer your questions and point you in the right direction.  Lots of good information will be exchanged to help you be prepared for Central.  Click here for more information.  Please contact Jodi Bettermann at jodibettermann@gmail.com with questions.

    Attention 8th Grade Parents - HCRHS Reminders  The course recommendations forms for Hunterdon Central were mailed home to all current 8th Grade students.  Grade 8 access to the Hunterdon Central's Student Information System (ASPEN) begins at 8:00 am on February 21st and closes at midnight on February 25th.  Upon completion of your child's 2020-2021 course selection, please return the pink copy of the course selection form to the Guidance Office.

    8th Grade Parents – Do you have questions about Hunterdon Central?  Want to hear what other Readington parents have to say?  Then plan to attend a Parent to Parent Discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 in the RMS Media Center.  A panel of Readington parents with students at Central will help answer your questions and point you in the right direction.  Lots of good information will be exchanged to help you be prepared for Central.  Click here for more information.  Please contact Jodi Bettermann at jodibettermann@gmail.com with questions.
     
    RMS School Counseling News:  Please check out our new and improved counseling page at:  https://sites.google.com/readington.k12.nj.us/rms-school-counseling/home.  The website includes a multitude of resources that are current for each grade level.  Take a moment to peruse through your child's School Counselor's page to find important information.  For eighth grade parents, there is a link for the Remind App which will be used to share upcoming important information.  We look forward to continually providing resources for students and parents. 
     
    IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS:  Students who sign in to homework room and plan to attend sporting events at 4pm, need to be signed out by a parent/guardian and escorted there.  No students are permitted to be on school grounds after school hours without parent/guardian supervision.

    RMS Spring Sports: Spring Sports - Softball, Baseball, Boys/Girls Lacrosse and Boys/Girls Track.  
    Forms are currently being accepted until Friday, March 6, 2020.  First Day of Tryouts is Monday, March 23.  Students who fail to submit required forms by the due date (March 6, 2020) will NOT be allowed to try out.

    Gifted and Talented Program Information: The Readington Township School District is currently accepting parent nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program.  All parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 24th.     NY Yankees Game - Take me out to the ball game! Join the HSA at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, April 4th to watch the NY Yankees take on the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:05pm. Tickets are all located on the Main Level and each comes with a NY Yankees era hat, your choice of a hot dog or chicken tenders with French fries and a water, soda or beer. Tickets are $70 each.     H.S.A. Note Pads - Are you in a rush in the mornings and always finding yourself scrambling to send in a note for the teacher?! The H.S.A. is selling notepads for student absences, parent pick-up, etc. that will save you time and a headache! Notepads are $3 each or 2 for $5.     Readington H.S.A. Goes Digital! – Join us on PTBoard, our new digital platform, for all things H.S.A. including volunteer opportunities, our calendar, announcements and reminders, Invest In Your Child, and our district directory.  Families that were included in the directory last year should have gotten an email invitation to join us on our PTBoard site.     Box Tops -This is an ongoing program. Don’t forget to turn in your Box Tops into the collection bins located at main entrance and the side entrance to the school.
     
    Coke Rewards - Please send in your tops to Coke branded products. The code found under the cap means money for our school. Codes are also found printed inside cardboard multi-packs of Coke products. Turn your caps and codes into school in the same collection boxes as the Box Tops. The codes are worth points that will be converted into dollars for our school.
