    IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS:  Students who sign in to homework room and plan to attend sporting events at 4pm, need to be signed out by a parent/guardian and escorted there.

    Yearbooks and 8th grade ads are for sale NOW!  The deadline is January 25, 2020, so be sure to order yours right away. Yearbooks and ads will not be available for purchase after this date.

    The RMS Student Council will be selling Viking Pura Vida bracelets during all lunch periods from Monday, December 9 until Friday, December 13.  The homemade bracelets from Costa Rica and will be sold for $6.  Proceeds from bracelet sales will go to the NJ Association of Student Council State Charity, The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation.  The foundation provides New Jersey families facing the crisis of pediatric cancer a place to turn for comfort and support through professional in-home counseling and a uniquely tailored package of assistance – all free-of-charge.

    Eighth Grade Parents:  Deadline Approaching...December 15!   Registration for the Hunterdon Country Vocational Academy Programs - The deadline for students to apply  for any of the three Academy Programs:  Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science and Environmental Sustainability (and also for the New Full Time Animal Science Program) is December 15, 2019.  If you are interested in applying, please contact Melissa Evancho, Admissions Officer, (908) 788-1119 ext. 2010 or you can email her at mevancho@hcvsd.org
     

    NEWS FROM THE READINGTON H.S.A.

    RMS Holiday Collection - We are currently collecting donations to be pooled together and used to provide our teachers, aides, and support staff with a school-wide holiday meal. If you would like to participate, please send a contribution of $10 via your child to the attention of H.S.A holiday collection to be dropped off at the main office, by Friday, December 20th. The $10 is only a suggestion and we are appreciative of any amount. As always, thank you for your time and generosity.     Holiday Shoppe - A very special THANK YOU to the following volunteers who helped set up, staff, and break down our Holiday Shoppe this year: Jodi Bettermann, Neha Mehta, Karrie Kopp, Ruby Carlsruh, Carol Hample, Holly Vandal, Dina Wysocky, Ellen Cook, and Lisa Champion. We couldn't have done it without you!!

Goes Digital! – Join us on PTBoard, our new digital platform, for all things H.S.A. including volunteer opportunities, our calendar, announcements and reminders, Invest In Your Child, and our district directory.  Families that were included in the directory last year should have gotten an email invitation to join us on our PTBoard site. Please check your junk/spam folders.  For new families or those who did not receive an email, click on the link above for information on how to join our PTBoard site at readingtonhsa.ptboard.com.

    Box Tops -This is an ongoing program. Don’t forget to turn in your Box Tops into the collection bins located at main entrance and the side entrance to the school.

    Coke Rewards - Please send in your tops to Coke branded products. The code found under the cap means money for our school. Codes are also found printed inside cardboard multi-packs of Coke products. Turn your caps and codes into school in the same collection boxes as the Box Tops. The codes are worth points that will be converted into dollars for our school. 

    Amazon Smile - Amazon Smile is an easy way to support our schools at no cost to you.  Whenever you shop on Amazon go to www.smile.amazon.com. You'll find the same items at the same prices, but you will see items marked "Eligible for Amazon Smile donation" on the product detail page.  A portion of the purchase price will be donated back to our schools for those items.  The first time you visit  Amazon Smile, you will choose Readington Home School Association.  Amazon Smile will remember your selection so every purchase you make at www.smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.

    Holiday Shoppe - The Holiday Shoppe is taking place this week! Thursday and Friday are the last two days for your child(ren) to shop. Information/envelopes were sent home with your student last week. Students will have the opportunity to visit during lunch/academic support (10:40 am -12:55 pm) to purchase items for the holidays. Please make checks payable to Readington HSA or send cash. We will also be open the evening of December 12 before the winter concert if you would like to stop by!

    Parents of 7th Grade Students - From the Health Office:  Annual Distribution of Fact Sheet on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) N.J.S.A. 18A:40-42 requires public schools to annually distribute a fact sheet about vaccination against HPV to parents or guardians of students in grade seven.     Please consider supporting the Readington Middle School Athletic Booster Club (RABC) in its winter All-County Discount Card fundraiser! These reusable community discount cards sell for only $10 each and offer discounts at 20 local merchants through December 31, 2020. The cards will pay for themselves after just a few uses and make great holiday gifts! A list of participating vendors can be found on the order form . If you are interested in purchasing one (or several!) community discount cards, please return the completed form with a check written to RABC or cash to the drop box outside RMS by Wednesday, December 4. The cards will be available for pick-up at the RMS front office the week of December 16.  Parents of winter athletes- please note that your student has been given a hard copy of the order form to return to his/her coaches.
