    YMCA Aftercare for Sports and Clubs  - The Readington Township School District is unable to accommodate a late bus for students who stay after school for clubs and sports. However, the YMCA offers aftercare for students until 6:00 P.M. The aftercare program for both RMS and HBS occurs in the HBS cafeteria. Parents may wish to enroll their child(ren) in the YMCA program during a sports season or club offering for regular, after school child care coverage. Membership and monthly fees may apply. Further, and separately, the YMCA is accommodating emergency/unexpected drop-ins from students attending clubs and/or sports. The attached letter contains further information on the distinction between these two options, and the requirement for each parent to complete a drop-in form in case an emergency circumstance arises.

    Interested in Joining the BOE's Green Committee? - Readington Township BOE has a long established history supporting sustainability and green initiatives. Four times a year, a BOE-established Green Committee meets to discuss how to improve the district's energy systems, promote sustainability, establish best practices, and celebrate student achievements in green initiatives. Meetings are typically held from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Members of the public and district staff are encouraged to participate. Our next meeting is October 14 to be held virtually. We'll include a nameplate on the inside cover of the book proclaiming "I was here first!"  We will also include a star with their name  in the LMC--a lasting and visible tribute!     Start Strong Fall State Testing - Grades Fourth through Eighth and New Jersey Student Learning Assessment Spring: Grades Third through Eighth.  Please CLICK HERE for additional information.

     - The Readington Township School District is unable to accommodate a late bus for students who stay after school for clubs and sports.  However, the YMCA offers aftercare for students until 6:00 P.M.  The aftercare program for both RMS and HBS occurs in the HBS cafeteria.  Parents may wish to enroll their child(ren) in the YMCA program during a sports season or club offering for regular, after school child care coverage.  In order to do this, please visit the YMCA website which is also posted on each school website under the "Parents" tab. Further, the YMCA does accommodate emergency/unexpected drop-ins from students attending clubs and/or sports and whose parents may be running late. The YMCA Drop-in Form for this scenario will be provided to your child once his/her club or sport has begun.  This will ensure the YMCA can accept your child on this emergency, unexpected basis.  

    Title 1 - Parental Involvement (ESSA grant) - Please read the attached letter about ESSA.  Parents are invited to a virtual parent meeting at 1:00 tomorrow to discuss the use of Title 1 funding.  This will be our only topic of discussion, and we are looking for your input/feedback.  The link for the meeting is

     - The STEM Learning Lab at Temple University is seeking English-speaking students currently in grades 5-8 and their parents to participate in an online study about their math learning. All materials are completed online and should take no more than an hour each for a parent and a student to complete. Parents, if you are interested in participating, please complete this information form (STEMlab--Readington), after which you will receive an email instructing your student to complete their portion. Participants will each receive an electronic $10 Amazon gift card, and families will also be entered for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card.

    News from the Tech Department regarding Chromebooks 
    Chromebook Technology fee payment (required for all students)  Please follow these steps HERE to pay the required annual Technology Fee online or to send in a check. This step was unintentionally omitted from the Student Network Use Agreement form in Genesis. You will be prompted to acknowledge the Technology Fee form the next time you log into Genesis.  Thank you for your support towards our student technology initiatives.   If your child retained a Chromebook over the summer, please be certain they bring the Chromebook in with them (fully charged) on the first day of school. Students going into grades 7 and 8 will keep the same Chromebook they were assigned from last year.  Students entering Grade 6 will be assigned new Chromebooks and we will need to collect the previously assigned student Chromebook prior to the student being assigned a new device this school year.
