The Readington Educational Foundation, in conjunction with an area resident, is co-sponsoring a “Thirty-One Gifts” shopping event and book drive on Monday, May 21. From 4-7:30 p.m., come to Panache Hair Salon and Day Spa on Route 22 and view all kinds of bags for sale – from totes, to purses, to organizational items. Bring a new or gently used children’s book and receive a special gift. The “Thirty-One” consultant will donate 20% of the proceeds from the event to purchase new books for classroom libraries. Click here for the flyer or contact Gen Van Doren at genvandoren@embarqmail.comfor more information.
In addition to this one-day event, Readington native Danielle Hunt will also collect children's books at Panache from May 14 to the end of June to help teachers establish classroom libraries. If your children have outgrown some of their own collections, why not donate them so others can enjoy them? Click here for more details on the book drive.
