The Readington Township School District is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mrs. Jennifer Mooney as the next assistant principal of Readington Middle School effective July 1, 2024.  The appointment of Mrs. Mooney was approved by the Readington Board of Education at their meeting on May 14, 2024. Dr. Jonathan Hart, Superintendent of Schools was pleased to announce Mrs. Mooney as the next assistant principal of Readington Middle School.

Mrs. Mooney is a graduate of Caldwell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education & Early Childhood and The College of New Jersey with a Masters of Arts in Education. In addition, she obtained her NJ Administrators Certification from NJEXCEL.

Mrs. Mooney brings a wealth of experience and an unmatched enthusiasm and dedication for this new role.  She comes to the district having served as the Whitehouse School Preschool Relief Teacher for the past few months.  Before that she worked for ten years at the Clifton Public Schools District as a Basic Skills Teacher and a Classroom Teacher.  Mr. Charleston, Readington Middle School Principal, shared; “What stood out about Jenn during this process was her commitment to working with students, her fair and equitable approach to discipline, and her thoughtfulness in working with teachers. What also came through was her passion for working with kids.”

Mrs. Mooney previously served as a building coach for positive behavior interventions. This experience will undoubtedly come in handy as she recognizes students for their good behavior with Valuable Viking and Student of the Week awards. Mrs. Mooney has a passion for working with kids. She will have a positive impact on the lives of our students, staff, and families.

Mrs. Mooney and her husband Ryan reside in Readington, NJ with their son Brayden age five. Brayden will attend Three Bridges School for Kindergarten in the fall. Mrs. Mooney is a lover of iced coffee, Italian food, a good book and sports. She played softball and volleyball. The Mooney family enjoys spending vacations and breaks in Myrtle Beach.
