Loaded down with pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, and their favorite books, students arrived in the Readington Middle School media center on February 24 for the annual Sixth Grade Read-a-Thon.  Sponsored by friends and families to read during the four-hour afterschool event, the students raised $1,625 for St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in North Branch.  Eleven of the Read-a-Thon participants, accompanied by teacher Beth McGivney, visited St. Hubert’s on April 4 to deliver the donation and tour the facility.
