SAVING ENERGY IN THE CLASSROOM
- Turn off your computer monitors or put them to sleep when you're done using them during the day
- Shut down your computers at night
- Turn on only half of the lights whenever possible
- Turn off the lights when you leave the room
- Dress in layers to help you adjust to changing building temperatures
- Unplug TV's, DVD players, and other electronics when you're not using them
- Clear off air vents and keep them free from clutter
- Close your classroom door to help maintain the temperature
- Open the blinds and light your classroom naturally
- Close the blinds at night to help keep your classroom comfortable
