    Halloween Parade - Friday, October 29 - 1:30 p.m. - Click here for important guidelines. Please note: if inclement weather, a notice will be posted on Twitter early the morning of Friday, October 29. If the parade is rained out, students will walk the parade indoors and parents will not be allowed to attend. Please send in your child's costume regardless.  If you still plan to pick up your child early with an indoor parade, please report to HBS main door entrance to sign your child out.  You may have to wait a few minutes.

    Notice from the Guidance Office - Parents are invited to schedule a time to meet with Mrs. Pauley during conferences next week. You are welcome to meet if you have any questions, concerns or are in need of resources. Please use this Google calendar link to select a 20 minute time period; add your name and location - in person or virtual. If you want a virtual conference I will send a google meet link. 
    Food Service FAQs - Food service operations for the 2021-22 school year are quite unique due to the nature of the COVID pandemic. As mentioned in this letter, standard meals for breakfast and lunch shall be at no cost to students as the federal government is directly reimbursing the district. However, as we enter the fall season and for the remainder of the school year, snacks and other a la carte items shall be offered. These items do carry a charge as they do not meet standards imposed by the federal government to be reimbursable. Please refer to this FAQ for further information on this topic among many others, which is also available on our district website.

    Voluntary Math Competition - Our district is again participating in the nationwide Noetic Mathematics Competition this fall.  This is a challenging 50 minutes test given to 30 students in each grade. This year, all students may request to participate, and from those requests, 30 will be selected to compete.  Participants will be given practice material to work on independently. The test is scheduled to be given during the student's regular math class on November 12.  If your child is interested in participating, please have them complete this form.  All students will be notified when the selection process is complete.     Mark Your Calenar - Technology Committee Meeting - Monday, November 15, 4:00 – 5:00 pm. You are cordially invited to attend our virtual technology committee meeting November 15. Attending this meetina is an opportunity to learn about the various technologies our district utilizes to support the district's strategic curriculum objectives and initiatives.     YMCA Aftercare for Sports and Clubs - The Readington Township School District is unable to accommodate a late bus for students who stay after school for clubs and sports.  However, the YMCA offers aftercare for students until 6:00 P.M.  The aftercare program for both RMS and HBS occurs in the HBS cafeteria.  Parents may wish to enroll their child(ren) in the YMCA program during a sports season or club offering for regular, after school child care coverage.  In order to do this, please visit the YMCA website which is also posted on each school website under the "Parents" tab. Further, the YMCA does accommodate emergency/unexpected drop-ins from students attending clubs and/or sports and whose parents may be running late. The YMCA Drop-in Form for this scenario will be provided to your child once his/her club or sport has begun.  This will ensure the YMCA can accept your child on this emergency, unexpected basis.
