The CAP Program aims to prevent child assault by teaching children to recognize and deal with potentially dangerous situations, and by training teachers and parents to help prevent the victimization of children.Destination Imagination Important Information - Destination Imagination (DI) is seeking 14 creative, spontaneous performers who can work well with a team! Teams work together from November until May on Improvisational Skills, then attend the NJ DI state tournament at the end of March to show off their teamwork and creativity.Timeline:

Four times a year, a BOE-established Green Committee meets to discuss how to improve the district's energy systems, promote sustainability, establish best practices, and celebrate student achievements in green initiatives. Meetings are typically held from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Members of the public and district staff are encouraged to participate. Our next meeting is October 14 to be held virtually. YMCA Aftercare for Sports and Clubs - The Readington Township School District is unable to accommodate a late bus for students who stay after school for clubs and sports. However, the YMCA offers aftercare for students until 6:00 P.M. The aftercare program for both RMS and HBS occurs in the HBS cafeteria. Parents may wish to enroll their child(ren) in the YMCA program during a sports season or club offering for regular, after school child care coverage. In order to do this, please visit the YMCA website which is also posted on each school website under the "Parents" tab. Further, the YMCA does accommodate emergency/unexpected drop-ins from students attending clubs and/or sports and whose parents may be running late. The YMCA Drop-in Form for this scenario will be provided to your child once his/her club or sport has begun. This will ensure the YMCA can accept your child on this emergency, unexpected basis.
Beginning Instrumental Music Enrollment - is NOW: Deadline - October 4 - Enroll online by visiting HBS Instrumental Music Webpage The deadline for enrolling in the HBS beginning instrumental music program is Monday, October 4. Lessons will begin the week of October 18-22. After signing up, Mrs. Dribbon (band instruments) or Mr. Hasselbring (orchestra instruments) will contact you directly to confirm your instrument choice and provide you with further information about scheduling and other details.

From the H.S.A.HBS Pumpkin Bash RegistrationWe are getting ready for some Halloween fun over at HBS. On Friday, October 15th the H.S.A. is hosting an outdoor Pumpkin Bash with tons of Halloween fun in the works for our HBS families. The evening will be filled with pumpkin carving (with prizes awarded!), fall photo set up-so you could snap pictures of your child(ren) with their carved creations, goody bags filled with Halloween treats and more! This event is a family event (not drop off) and will be 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Cost is $8.00 for the first pumpkin and $6.00 for each additional pumpkin.
