    INVEST IN YOUR CHILD FUNDRAISER

    The Readington H.S.A.'s primary fundraiser, Invest in Your Child, officially ends this Friday, October 30th. Our goal is to raise $13,660 to continue to support educational opportunities in our local Readington Schools. We have an online link through PTBoard for contactless donations. CLICK HERE for more details. Thank you to all of the families who have already contributed!  We are currently at 60% of our goal. 

    The Readington H.S.A. is a 501c3 charity eligible for company match programs, so you can increase your impact by requesting a donation through your company.

    BOOLIVERIES

    Thank you to everyone who participated in our Boolivery Halloween Fundraiser. We have had so much fun putting this together for all of the children. All deliveries will be made by Friday 10/30. Please feel free to send any pictures of your children with the Boolivery Bags to jlestuk@yahoo.com or nicoleviviensmith@gmail.com to be included in the Yearbook.

    SPIRIT WEAR

    FALL CLOTHING DRIVE

    Thank you to everyone who donated clothing and used items to our Fall Clothing Drive. It was a great success and we truly appreciate everyone who participated.

    YEARBOOK PHOTOS NEEDED
    With this year being different with how events and learning take place, we’d like to encourage you to take photos of your children during virtual learning, virtual classroom parties and/or events the children participate in (like Boolivery!) for our TBS Yearbook.  With your help and awesome pictures, we’ll still have an amazing yearbook for our students.     Readington Board of Education Member Vacancy – Application Deadline is October 28

    The Readington Board of Education is seeking a township resident to fill a seat that was recently vacated. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Readington Board of Education, please click here to see the notice of vacancy for information on eligibility and the application process. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

     

    Governor Educator of the Year Recognition Program – Nominations Due by October 30 

    Each year, Readington Township School District participates in the New Jersey Department of Education Governor's Educator of the Year Program. This program recognizes excellence in education, a direct result of the hard work of our outstanding classroom teachers and educational services professionals (eligibility criteria for the list of educational services professionals).  One of the most meaningful gestures to show appreciation to our staff would be to nominate them for the Governor's Educator of the Year recognition. To make a nomination, please complete the  nomination form and return it to your building principal by Friday, October 30, 2020.

     

    Election Day - Tuesday, November 3

    The district will be fully virtually on Tuesday, November 3 for Election Day.  No staff or students will be on-site on this date. 

     

    A/B Schedule Week of November 2 

    Monday, November 2/A-Day, Tuesday, November 3/Virtual Day, and Wednesday, November 4/B-Day.  Schools are closed Thursday, November 5, and Friday, November 6.

    Parents or guardians are to schedule their conference with their child’s teacher by using the Genesis Parent Portal. The window for scheduling your conference will open at 3pm onThursday, October 15 and will close on Wednesday, October 28 at 8am..

    See instructions below for scheduling your conference: 

    1. Go to the Genesis Parent Portal
    2. Click on the “Conference” Tab
    3. Click “Request a Conference”
    4. Change the “Week of” to the week in November that corresponds with conferences (using drop down arrow)
    5. Click on the date you prefer and the teacher’s times will appear
    6. Select the time you would like to have your conference
    7. The color will change to show that you have been added to the conference

    Violence Prevention Week
     
    Hello Families, just a reminder that Thursday is "wear purple to school or at home virtually"  to show we use our hands and words for helping and not hurting. I hope everyone is having a great Violence prevention week. 
     
    Week of October 19-23
    Red Ribbon Week will be here next week. Red Ribbon Week is celebrated within the entire United States to show we say No to bad choices and Yes to good choices. Announcements will be made focusing on the character word courage. Students will get a red ribbon paper to color or draw "a time they used courage to make a good choice " ( the ribbon activity will also be posted in google classrooms for virtual students). Students will get a red ribbon to wear to support red ribbon week( if students are all virtual red ribbons will be in the main office for families to  pick up if they would like one). 
    On Friday October 23rd we will have a wear red day to show we make healthy choices. Looking forward to a great Red Ribbon Week.

    Look for the blue tarps located at TBS, WHS, and RMS.  The H.S.A. is collecting donations of used clothing, shoes, linens, bicycles, and more.  CLICK HERE for information on what will and will not be accepted.  Please have donations in before 11 a.m. on October 17th.  Donations must be placed in plastic bags and tied or sealed closed.
     
    H.S.A. BUSINESS MEETING TONIGHT, OCTOBER 14TH
    Join the Readington H.S.A. for our first open public Business Meeting of the school year on October 14th at 7 p.m.  Meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.  CLICK HERE to see the agenda for meeting credentials.

    REMINDER

    Parents/Guardians please remember to complete your child's Covid-19 pre screening form no later than 8am.  This will help us to expedite the children getting into school in a timely fashion.  Also, if you are picking your child up at the end of the day, please remain in your cars to ensure the safety of all our children and staff. If your child needs assistance getting into their car seat, you may then pop out of your car to assist them. 

     

    School Spirit Day  Students are invited to wear TBS colors (red and blue) or school spirit wear at home virtually or at school to show respect for our school and community.

     
    Violence Prevention Week : Three  Bridges School will be participating in Violence Prevention Week.  Announcements will be made to tell students about violence prevention week and focus on using respect to be a caring friend. .  On the morning announcements different character words on promoting positive decision making will be discussed. We will be talking about  what Friendship means to you. Students will talk in a small group or as a large group lesson about what they feel it means to be a friend.  Students will also get to  draw or write on a sheet of paper (the paper will also be posted in google classroom for virtual students ) about what kind of friend they want to be. We will have a "wear purple" day on October 15 to remind us that we use our words and hands for helping to solve our conflicts rather than hurtful hands and words.  It's going to be a great week.
