READINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILD STUDY TEAM
The Child Study Team has the responsibility of conducting comprehensive child study team evaluations to help determine if a student is eligible for special education and related services. It also has the responsibility to insure that all intervention strategies have been exhausted in the general education setting before conducting evaluations. If eligible for special education and related services, the case manager develops an Individualized Educational Program with the IEP team and then monitors the student’s program. The case manager also provides consultation services to parents and teachers regarding the student’s emotional, educational and social needs.
