SPARK - Summer Enrichment Program
Readington is pleased to announce our revised Summer Spark Enrichment Program - with several sessions back by popular demand, and two new additions. Spark is held primarily at HBS, the weeks of July 15 and July 22. Students may attend either or both weeks, with half-day and full day options available.
We've added two completely new programs this year - Stage Stars (learn and perform musical numbers under the direction of Mr Tipton) & Playful Athletes (explore running and non-competitive team sports/games).
Each week's sessions will offer unique activities, so students attending both weeks of the same course will not repeat activities.
Please see the attached flyer for information and registration information. We hope you'll consider joining us! Questions? For more information and to participate in the event, please visit: https://bit.ly/ParentAcademyNight2024 .Gifted and Talented Nominations are OPEN: The K-8 Gifted and Talented programs in Readington Township Schools are needs-based and align with New Jersey state standards. These programs are intended for those students who exhibit intellectual abilities requiring additional and appropriate educational challenges and opportunities to meet those needs.
A universal screener is in place to identify students for this program. Students can also be nominated for consideration for entry into the Gifted and Talented (GT) program by a teacher or parent. The purpose of the parent nomination is to provide parents with an opportunity to share information about a potentially gifted child who they feel may not have been detected by the standard screening process. A parent or teacher nomination does not guarantee entry into the Gifted and Talented program; a nomination simply means that the student's eligibility for the program will be evaluated.
The window for parent nominations will open in February 2024, and all parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 22, 2024. Since the assessment process will begin immediately following the nomination deadline, late entries cannot be accepted.
