Our Mission
{Dan Gutman shows students prototypes of his book covers.} Formed in 2007, the Readington Educational Foundation (REF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of education in our schools. It is committed to attracting private resources to promote innovative programs that might not otherwise receive funding. Why Do We Need an Education Foundation?
As the economic climate gets tougher, it is becoming increasingly difficult for public school districts like ours to fund the most cutting-edge programs and technologies – programs that will give our children an advantage in high school and beyond. As a result, educational foundations are playing more important roles by helping to finance the most unique, hands-on learning possible for our children. In our first 3 1/2 years of operation, the Readington Educational Foundation funded 40+ programs across all four township schools that have added substantially to the learning environment in our schools. Although we're separate from the Home and School Association, the two organizations coordinate their efforts to sponsor a variety of programs in every field of study. Our Goals
